The midfielder was out of action for four months after suffering a broken foot while on Scotland Under-21 duty.

He was an unused substitute for last week's win over Dundee and is seeking a quick return to action as the Dons prepare to face Kilmarnock in the Scottish Premier League on Saturday.

Jack said: "I'm feeling good. I did a lot of training with the physios and a lot of fitness work so I've got my fitness right back up.

"Now I'm back training with the boys so I'm feeling a lot sharper and more ready."

He added: "It was really frustrating.

"I'd been starting and playing in games so to go away for a friendly match and get hit with the injury wasn't ideal.

"But you just need to get on with it.

"It's difficult when you're not playing. You're coming in to get treatment and all the boys are training.

"But I had all my family behind me, as well as the manager and all the lads, so that made it easier coming in every day. They were all there for me and that was good.

"Now I'm back fit, I just need to concentrate on getting back in the team."

Jack has sympathy for team-mate Isaac Osbourne, who has been ruled out for at least six weeks with a hamstring tear, having recently returned from injury.

He said: "We are all gutted for Isaac because he's a big, influential player for us.

"He's just been back about a month and he's been doing really well so we are all really gutted for him."

Aberdeen travel to Rugby Park in seventh spot in the table and Jack is confident of progression.

He said: "It's really tight. A couple of wins can take you right up the table and even close to second place.

"I'm sure if we just get a couple of wins and get a run going, we can get right up the league.

"Kilmarnock have been doing really well recently.

"They won 3-0 last weekend away to Hearts, which is a hard place to go to. We know it will be a tough game there."

s there a PR agency covering Begovich, Odemwingie, Steven Fletcher and Grant Holt or something? Why would you offer a quote like that without having been announced by either club. #headsshoulderskneesandtoesgone

adly this is inevitable. No club outside the top 4/5 can hang on to anyone who shows that kind of talent anymore. Might be best for them to get as much as they can now while his stock is high and start again. On the plus side lads, Grant Holt is still available.
