Croft in talks over future

Lee Croft is in talks with Scottish Cup finalists St Johnstone over a new contract, but Sky Sports understands that a host of clubs are in the running for the 28-year-old.

The former Manchester City, Derby and Norwich winger has impressed whilst in Scotland with St Johnstone after joining last year.

Talks have begun with the Saints, but it is understood that SPL rivals Aberdeen and Hibernian are also keen to talk with him.

In England, Birmingham City, Rotherham United and Sheffield United are keen to offer him the chance of a route back south.

However, there is also an option for Croft emerging from America, and the chance to play in Major League Soccer is believed to be one which does appeal to the winger.
