Mark Reynolds opened the scoring on Saturday, before a brace from Barry Robson made it three by half-time.

His first came from a 28th minute header, while Robson’s second arrived via a low shot from the edge of the box.

Peter Pawlett added a fourth 10 minutes after the break before Will Flood made it 5-0 on 63 with a shot that took a wicked deflection.

Fifteen minutes from time, Adam Rooney notched a sixth goal for the Dons while Nicky Low completed the scoring in the final few minutes.

Aberdeen open their Europa League campaign next week when they entertain Latvian club Daugava Riga in a first round qualifying contest.
