O'Kane has been one of the Cherries' outstanding performers this season and his performances have not gone unnoticed among rival clubs.

O'Kane has just over a year to run on his current deal and a number of interested parties have been keeping tabs on his situation at Dean Court.

The 23-year-old has established himself as a key member of Eddie Howe's side since arriving from Torquay in the summer of 2012 and the club are keen to ward off potential suitors by tying him down to a new contract.

Talks are thought to be at an advanced stage between both parties and Bournemouth are hopeful the former Everton man will soon put pen-to-paper on a new deal.
