Bendtner: I'm focused on Juve

Nicklas Bendtner is unsure if he will return to Arsenal as he continues his loan spell at Juventus.

The Denmark striker, 24, joined the Gunners back in 2004 but failed to establish himself as a first team regular and following loan spells with Birmingham in 2006/2007 and Sunderland last term, manager Arsene Wenger sanctioned another season-long switch with an option to buy.

Despite struggling to make an impact in Italy, Bendtner is optimistic over his future and admits he has mixed feelings about going back to Arsenal to fight for his place.

Speaking to Sky Sports News ahead of Chelsea's Champions League trip to Turin, he said: "It's difficult. I feel a lot of things for Arsenal, most good things. I left, not on bad terms but not on great terms.

"At the moment, my future is here at Juventus. Beyond that, it can lie at Arsenal or elsewhere. It's not 100% decided. But my focus is on Juventus."

Bendtner believes his fitness levels have improved since his days at the Emirates, and pinpoints a car crash in 2009 in which he was lucky to escape with his life as a turning point in his life.

"My car crash changed a lot of things," he said. "It took a long time to get over that. Remember, I had 30 games at Sunderland. A lot of things happened for me to be there.

"Now I am where I want to be, at a Champions League club. It requires hard work and I know I need to get more games to achieve success.

"I've had to lose weight," he joked. "That happens when you don't train for a long time. But I am now perfect weight-wise. I am where I need to be to get regular games."
