Errrr...... I'm sure his looks are due to the fact he went head first through a car windscreen as a child and all the reconstructive surgery that was needed. So maybe best to concentrate on the far from beautiful game displayed by his opponents on Tuesday night.

Maybe he has done them a favour. Of course it is unlikely, nigh on impossible, but nothing is totally impossible in football. Keeper brings down an Arsenal player in the box in the first 10 minutes, red card, anything can happen. Football has lots of previous in this respect. Regardless, I think they will put up a better show in Munich, even if it probably won't be good enough. Wenger will probably start with Giroud in the second leg, go gung ho, it shouldn't be a boring game in any case. A game with no pressure and nothing to lose will suit this team. Still think Arsenal can get in the top four as well. Spurs are a Bale injury, and a tough run in, away from a slide and Chelsea look like they could hit another slump at any time.

Kicking your ass in last year's final was easy too. Just like it was easy for Inter two year prior. Loser.

Man states the bleedin obvious. You can dress it up with "Ouch that's gotta hurt". No it doesn't. Every gooner thought just that on Tuesday night. That's what hurts. Ribery stating what we already knew doesn't make it hurt any more. More media spin of a non-story.

I always thought he was the third Neville brother that was kept locked in the cellar until he could be quietly shipped off to France to avoid embarassment. I agree with Hump3; no pep talk needed from Wenger, if the arsenal players can't up their game after this then they really are wasting their time.

Not sure why he's so surprised, I wasn't. It's been known for years that if you press arsenal and can pass accurately in the final third then you have a good chance of winning. Just ask man utd; we're a much softer touch nowadays.

Everyone says its easy to play against Arsenal cos we dont press that well. I know a player that said even he was quite surprised when he played Arsenal, annoying when theyve got the ball as they move it alot but quite comfortable when his team was in possession. PS. Ribery is bloody ugly (has been for years) but we're not tryna date him we're tryna win silverware.

Anyone else think Ribery needs to visit the dentist?

Wow, that's gotta hurt, look Bayern are a great team, Arsenal would of pulled off a great job to have beaten them in all fairness, I repeat Bayern are a great team, Arsenal's loss shouldn't be blown up anymore, they haven't got the players to make a significant attempt on the league this year so why does the CL seem likely (Chelsea aside, but their success is dictated by who's behind the wheel) Ribery is having a shot, he's a kn@b, everyone knows that.
