a proper spurs or arsenal fan would not even suggest such a monstrosity.

Someone mentioned how well do spurs/arsenal fans think a combined North London Team would do in the premier league. Not being big headed but surely a team of: GK: Lloris LB: Monreal CB: Vertonghen CB: Vermaelen/Koscielny RB:Sagna/Walker LW: Bale CM: Wilshere CM: Dembele/Sandro RW: Walcott/Lennon CAM: Cazorla ST: Podolski/Defoe Would certainly be challenging for, if not winning, the premier league? Give or take a few changes, would

@hincey is consistently one of the fairer least myopic gooners on here. Bale isn't saying anything of note here, Sir Chesney was as bad if not worse. In fact after the West Ham game last night he said that Arsenal are a very good side and that the derby would be extremely tough. These quotes are from Jiggins story in the Sun too, the bloke has done nothing but twist everything against Spurs since we sacked his bollockfaced boyfriend last June. Sunday will be a great game and unlike the Merseyside derby, both teams actually play some football

Wish my fellow Arse fans would take their heads out of, well, their arses. Are the players in Spurs' 1st team better? No. Are the players in the squad better than Arsenals? No. Do more of their players actually play like they have passion, determination and desire to actually win? YES!! That is where the difference is. THE MANAGERS. One has pressure to win games/cups and one doesn't.

Kind of a pointless thing to say. Last season Arsenal lose their captain to Man United, the season before they lose their captain to Barcelona and their one and only holding midfielder to the same team. It's fair to say Arsenal are not that strong at the moment. Forget Spurs being their equal - Swansea are at the moment!

i am a die hard arsenal fan and would love it if we can win sunday. but i am not an idiot and to be fair to tottenham they are on par with us now, not sure if they are btter but definetly on par. i also think from where tottenham where a few years ago to where they are now is a magnificient achievment. so i would like to say good luck i hope its a great game and may the best team win. I agree that Spurs are now much closer to Arsenal than they've been for years, but it was no secret that the new stadium would put pressure on Arsenal's ability to compete. Hopefully Arsenal are now "coming out the other side" of this and can start to see the benefit that the increased revenue from the stadium provides (if we ever actually spend it). In fact I think it is remarkable that Arsenal have managed to stay ahead of Spurs throughout this period. It will be interesting to see how Spurs cope with the financial pressures of building their new stadium.

@dryice Comparing teams is too subjective without the necessary proof. As ganachus aludes to, Arsenal have finished above Spurs for the last 17 seasons. Until we finish above them I don't see how we can say we're the best side. The league never lies and whilst I wouldn't say Man City are a better side than Utd on this seasons evidence, they were certainly within their rights last May to say the best team won the league

ganachus, so? We beat you 5-1 in the same competition in 2008 and went on to win it. Still, keep grasping those straws eh?

m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.

afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
