The Arsenal striker will be available at the end of the season, with the expiration of his contract at Emirates Stadium dropping him into the free agent pool.

It has been suggested that a move back to his homeland would be considered by the 26-year-old as he attempts to kick-start his faltering career.

Copenhagen would be the biggest draw, and Bendtner was in attendance as they drew 1-1 with Randers over the weekend.

A permanent arrival at Parken would, however, appear to be out of the question.

Bendtner is expected to have plenty of options to consider and Copenhagen have no intention of entering the scramble for his signature.

Club director Anders Horsholt told reporters: "We are not talking about that.

"He is in town and is an old Copenhagen boy, who during his childhood days (attended matches).

"He wanted to see some football, it isn't anything more than that. Unfortunately, we couldn't give him a win."

While no agreement is in the offing at this stage, Bendtner has admitted in the past that he hopes to turn out for his hometown club at some point in the future.

He told Politiken in 2013: "I like the idea of finishing at FC Copenhagen and try the Superliga at the end of my career."

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
