Albrighton left Villa Park on Tuesday after he was not offered a new contract and his departure ended a 16-year association with the club.

The 24-year-old joined Villa's academy aged eight before going on to make 101 appearances, scoring nine goals, while he started nine Premier League games this season.

He also had a loan spell with Championship side Wigan Athletic earlier in the campaign and could be offered the chance to stay in the Premier League.

A number of top-flight clubs are monitoring the situation and Albrighton has been strongly linked with a move to Leicester City, who will be back in the Premier League after winning the Championship title.
