Keith Hill: Not worrying about his position at Barnsley

Current owner Patrick Cryne has made no secret of his willingness to sell to a suitable buyer, while director Don Rowing confirmed in September that the Tykes had been approached by interested parties and that talks were on-going.

Hill said: "We won't really know - will we? - until it actually happens. It's very difficult to suggest what might happen, we've got to deal with here and now. We can't wait; I've always said waiters work in restaurants.

"We've just got to take care of business because my future will be decided really by results, not by the infrastructure that we've put in place, not by the development of the players, or whether somebody takes over or not.

"If somebody takes over and they decide that they don't want me to be their manager, trust me, our plan and the infrastructure we put in place at this football club is transferable to another club.

"So with respect to my own future, I've got no real worries. I want to be successful at Barnsley and I want to see fruition with respect to the foundation work we've put in, especially with the younger players and the redevelopment of the players who have may be lost their way in the footballing world. We want to see the fruits of our labour at Barnsley for the sake of the supporters of this club."

I

think all those names linked to United exits make sense. Kagawa has never really looked like hitting the form he had at Dortmund and Fellaini is radioactive after last season (even though I think he's been unfairly singled out for criticism). Nani and Anderson have had more than their fair share of chances so they are done, and Hernandez deserves better than warming a bench.

e'll be off to Spurs (or better) in January and I don't blame him. Looking forward to re-signing Grant Holt as his replacement though.
