Keith Hill: Feeling the heat

Keith Hill: Feeling the heat

Hill is feeling the heat at Oakwell after the Reds failed to win any of their last 10 Championship games, a run which has left them residing in the bottom three.

But the former Rochdale manager wants fans to judge him on his work across the whole club, not just on results.

"We've been in this place so many times in the past as Barnsley football club, and has anything really changed, has it really?" he said.

"The managers come and go at will. It seems to be the tradition at this club to sack a manager.

"There's been no vision, no future, just the sacking of a manager and the expectation it will all be put right.

"If there's a call for me to be sacked and the owners believes that to change a manager is going to pay dividends for this football club, don't dilly, don't wait - just do it.

"If my job is going to be dictated by the recent run of results, then fair play.

"But I was brought here to create an identity, a vision - integrate the academy with the first team while dealing with the financial fair play situation etc."

t the start of the season, after the RVP transfer, I confidently claimed that Arsenal would finish above United. I now regret it immensely.

aniel Storey generally did very well, going against the City won it last year so they're bound to win it this time grain. As for John Nicholson, I wouldn't trust him to predict correctly what day of the week it will be tomorrow.
