Jim McNulty: Extended stay at Prenton Park

Full-back Jim McNulty has extended his loan stay with Tranmere until January 3.

The 28-year-old has helped to tighten up Rovers' defence in the six games he has played so far on either the left-hand side or centre of defence.

Boss Ronnie Moore received an added bonus with this extension with the news that McNulty has also been given permission by his parent club to play in the FA Cup clash with Accrington this weekend.

"I'm really pleased to be able to keep Jim here until January," Moore told the club's official website.

"He has settled in very quickly and I've been happy with his performances.

"He's a strong defender who uses the ball well and he has looked comfortable in the middle of defence or at left-back, so he gives us options."

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
