A pitch inspection was held at 1pm and Charlton then confirmed on their Twitter feed that the match had been called off.

The playing surface at The Valley has struggled to deal with the wet weather all season, and their FA Cup tie with Oxford has already been postponed twice.

A new date for the fixture will be announced in due course.
