Lee Clark: Frustrated following 5-2 thumping from Hull City

Late goals from Peter Lovenkrands and Chris Burke were not enough to counter Hull's tally, with doubles from George Boyd and Gedo, as well as a shot on target for Robert Koren, ended in a score that moved Bruce's men to second in the Championship.

While Clark was evidently frustrated he spoke positively of his opposite number.

"It is a tough place to come and when you are 30 seconds in and 1-0 down to quite a simple goal it is a tough one.

"From there it went from bad to worse and we were 3-0 down in half an hour. They were not great goals from our point of view - awful in fact.

"The first two are just down-the-middle goals, basic defending. We knew we would come under the cosh against them, they play high tempo, I don't think it was down to our system or tactics.

"I have said it all along: not only have they got good players, they've go the best, most experienced manager outside the Premier League," he said.

"He should not be in this league, he should be managing in the Premiership.

"He has proven himself with many clubs over many years.

"It is Hull's gain - he will probably take them to the Premier League. They have had a right result really."
