The 35-year-old skipper has been kept on by the club, along with midfielder Olly Lee who has had a one-year option implemented.

The 22-year-old appeared in 19 matches during his rookie campaign, while Robinson featured in 46 - both were out-of-contract.

According to the club's website, American defender Will Packwood is expected to remain at St Andrews, with talks still being held with Nikola Zigic and Chris Burke.

However, Darren Ambrose, Wade Elliott, Peter Lovenkrands, Hayden Mullins, Brian Howard and Aaron Martin have all been released.

The Blues needed a last-gasp equaliser at Bolton to maintain their Championship status.
