Ambrose is a free agent this summer after seeing out his contract at Birmingham and a number of clubs are keeping tabs on him.

The 30-year-old caught the eye of Panathinaikos during a successful loan spell at Greek Super League side Apollon Smyrni in the second half of this season.

Ambrose scored six goals in 11 Super League appearances for Apollon Smyrni and Panathinaikos are now looking at keeping the former Newcastle and Crystal Palace man in Greece.

Ambrose is thought to be open to the idea of staying in Greece, while a number of clubs in England are also planning moves to sign the goalscoring midfielder this summer.

h ha ha, excellent. Let's hope he goes on the run. Then they hunt piggy down for scoffing all the apples. At least he's done something right - he has united football fans, regardless of who they support, against FIFA and all those at the top who have been bleeding the game for their own means and giving nothing back.
