The highly-rated ADO Den Haag man met with Blackpool last month, as revealed by Sky Sports, but they are not the only club in England chasing his signature with Birmingham and promotion-chasing Rotherham United also keen to land the 23-year-old.

Beugelsdijk is now set to decide on his future with a move to England or Germany looking the most likely options.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Beugelsdijk said: "Yes it true, after my last ADO Den Haag game I spoke with Birmingham City and I visited their training ground and St Andrew's and had I meeting with Lee Clark and his staff.

"Earlier this month I spoke with the board of Blackpool FC and with Rotherham chairman Tony Stewart and their manager Steve Evans about my future.

"I have noted that all three clubs are really passionate and love their work.

"I have spoken with the ADO Den Haag owners Paul Beijersbergen and Mark van der Kallen about ADO Den Haag and the future. There are also some offers from Germany, now I need to make my mind up and will be coming to a final decision next week. "

"I'm only 23-years of age so my next step will be the most important one for my development. It will be ADO Den Haag, England or Germany, that's for sure."

ah, Fergie is just having another pop at Rooney. He just wants to put him down whenever he gets a chance. Rooney is by far the best English player. Carrick is not far behind, mind. However, by elevating Carrick like that, Sir is having a dig at Wayne. Fergie is well-known for mind games like that. Good to see he's still feisty.
