The 25-year-old Republic of Ireland international has signed a two-year deal at St Andrew's having been out of contract at stadium:mk.

Gleeson began his professional career with Wolves in 2006, but spent much of his initial period in England out on loan.

He finally joined MK Dons on a permanent basis in 2009, going on to make 170 appearances and scoring 17 goals for the League One club.

Defenders Jonathan Grounds and Grant Hall were recruited by City manager Lee Clark last week from Oldham and Tottenham, respectively.
