Paul Robinson: His agent has revealed his future at Blackburn may be in doubt

Rovers were linked with a move to bring goalkeeper Friedel back to Ewood Park before the emergency loan window closed last month, and speculation has continued in light of the renewed challenge to the veteran's first-team place at Tottenham from France international Hugo Lloris.

Robinson remained with Blackburn despite their relegation last season and his representative Rob Segal insists the former England international is happy plying his trade in the Championship - a state of affairs that would change if he lost the number-one spot.

"Paul would be totally happy to stay, he is very happy at Blackburn," Segal told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"But at this stage of his career Paul wants to be playing football.

"If they want to bring in Brad Friedel that's their prerogative, Henning Berg might want to bring his own players in. If he played with Brad I can sort of understand it.

"If they can sort something out with Tottenham then we'll be on our way."
