Bruno Ribeiro: Joins Clube Atletico Linense on loan

The Brazilian full-back returns to his homeland having made just five senior appearances since joining Rovers in summer 2011.

Former Ewood Park boss Steve Kean infamously claimed the Blackburn squad christened Ribeiro "Denis" by way of a comparison to legendary Manchester United full-back Denis Irwin shortly after his arrival, but the 29-year-old failed to feature all season as the Lancashire outfit were relegated from the Premier League.

Ribeiro forced his way into the first-team picture at the start of the current campaign but has not played since being substituted during September's 2-1 home defeat to Middlesbrough - the final game of Kean's troubled spell in charge.
