The All Whites had already qualified for the play-off stages for Brazil 2014, but maintained their unbeaten campaign with a comfortable win in Honiara.

Payne grabbed his first goal for his country, firing home from 25-yards, after just three minutes.

His second came in the closing stages when he reacted quickest after an initial shot had been saved.

After six wins from six, New Zealand now wait to find out who they will play from the CONCACAF region next November for a place in Brazil.
