The Rovers skipper has been subject to speculation from Crystal Palace and Norwich City.

Bowyer revealed that a bid for Dann had been made, but wouldn't disclose the amount, or who had made the offer.

Bowyer confirmed that Dann will miss Tuesday's game against Barnsley with the Achilles injury he picked up in the weekend's 1-1 draw with Derby County.

Bowyer told the Lancashire Telegraph: "There are clubs interested in Scott Dann.

"But until they meet the valuation that the club has got on him, and until that is put in writing to the club, it is pure speculation."

When Bowyer was asked what would happen if a club met Dann's required valuation, he said: "That would be a decision for the people above me to make. I could only advise them on my opinion."

t's why Mourinho is so successful. He gives players a specific, limited set of functions to perform. They are but a cog in a machine. Do no more, do no less. I assume he learnt it from LvG :)

really hope that someone in the mainstream media spots that the Bayern manager played for and managed Barcelona quite well, and thinks to mention it in the build up. That would be really interesting.
