The Scotland international joined the Tangerines on loan from Blackburn Rovers until the end of the season during the January transfer window.

Goodwillie has been farmed out for his second loan of the season, having just returned to the club after his spell with Dundee United, and is eager to play a sustained run of games again.

Since his move, the 24-year-old has made two substitute appearances for the club, the most recent coming in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forrest at Bloomfield Road.

Goodwillie told the Lancashire Telegraph: "I see it as a breath of fresh air to get new team-mates and show what I can do.

"All the lads have been great because I've settled in brilliantly so hopefully I can get my career back on track.

"It felt great to get a run out. I've been eager to get on and Fergie (Barry Ferguson) knows that so I'm glad he got me on when he did. I feel as sharp and as fit as I've ever been but it's up to the manager.

"I just have to wait for my chance and bide my time. He sees training and he picks his team from there so hopefully he will see me training hard and will put me in."

was there, it was embarrassing - the team looked totally unbalanced from the off, the defence was woeful and when Mikel came off injured it got even worse with nobody in front of them. Up front on several occasions we had opportunities and nobody would shoot - it was a complete farse! On the back of Salah's performance I'm glad there is talk of getting shot...

reat to see Tommy Rosicky getting some love. A wonderful player. Such a pity we lost so long to injury. I was so excited when we signed him, this resurgence only makes the absences seem more of a lost opportunity.
