The Foxes had their elevation into the top flight confirmed last weekend, with neither QPR or Derby able to mathematically catch Nigel Pearson's runaway Championship leaders.

The delight which greeted their return to the Premier League, after a 10-year absence, comes in stark contrast to the despair they experienced 11 months ago when Watford eliminated them from the play-offs.

Anthony Knockaert, whose free-kick last Friday played a part in sending Leicester up, missed a penalty seconds before Troy Deeney fired the Hornets to Wembley.

Keane, now on loan with Blackburn, played that afternoon and was on the line when Deeney lashed in the half volley which ended the Foxes' promotion dreams in the most incredible fashion.

"Maybe the experience they had last year has motivated themselves to do even better this year," Keane said.

"They got a few good players in the summer and a few good loan players. They always had the talent in their squad, it was just about consistency and grinding out a few wins.

"They've managed to do that throughout the season and I'm really glad they've managed to get up. There's a great manager there and a great squad of players so they deserve it."

m not sure about this distance covered malarky, plus that stat comes with *since February attached to it, that's just 1 month. I mean I have 27 open cases I'm 'working on' at the moment but believe me others with 10 cases work harder than I do. I just got back from a pub lunch, scampi and chips (+4 pints) in case you were wondering.
