Eastham: Could return to Magpies

The 21-year-old centre-back returned to his parent club last week at the end of a one-month stay at Meadow Lane and the Magpies' attempts to extend the deal were put on hold while the Tangerines appointed a new manager.

Eastham, who started three League One matches for Notts, was not included in Michael Appleton's first Blackpool squad for their Championship game against Bolton on Saturday.

Following his side's home draw against Crawley at the weekend, Magpies manager Keith Curle said: "Ashley had a one-to-one with their new manager and was told he's not going to be allowed to go out on loan immediately because he (Appleton) wants to assess his squad.

"I think he's going to be told this week if he's going to figure in their plans or if he's going to be allowed out on loan.

"He's going to get back to me early this week."
