Nouha Dicko: Wants to improve

The 20-year-old striker bagged his fourth goal of the season during Saturday's 4-1 win over Peterborough despite making just two starts this term.

The Wigan man was labelled a 'super-sub' by former boss Ian Holloway but now Dicko is striving for a more prominent role at Bloomfield Road.

"It's been a frustrating time for me," he told the Blackpool Gazette. "After my last goal (at Hull in October) I thought the gaffer (Holloway) would have had more confidence in me but it didn't happen.

"I've been desperate to get my chance with the new manager and I hope it's enough to show everyone I can keep improving.

"I'm still young and I have scored some goals, which is good. If the gaffer thinks I have to wait then I'll be patient, but I have to start proving I am good enough to start games...and I'm going to."

adly this is inevitable. No club outside the top 4/5 can hang on to anyone who shows that kind of talent anymore. Might be best for them to get as much as they can now while his stock is high and start again. On the plus side lads, Grant Holt is still available.
