Michael Appleton: "Blackpool dominated"

The Seasiders fell behind to Anthony Gerrard's strike for the Terriers, despite having dominated the opening hour at the John Smith's Stadium.

Appleton's men rescued a point in stoppage time when substitute Nathan Delfouneso converted Tom Ince's cross.

But Appleton insisted his side should have taken home all three points after carving the hosts open on numerous occasions in a one-sided first half.

"When you've get a set of players like we have who are very creative, good footballers, good technique, eventually I do believe someone will take a tonking," said Appleton

"I'm not sure who, where or when, but someone's going to take an absolute tonking off us."

When asked whether it should have been three points instead of one Appleton added: "I think that's the biggest understatement anyone's ever said to me after a game.

"I said to the players, 'don't enjoy the game until we're in front', because it was almost too easy at times we were playing so well.

"A lapse of concentration, a free header from a set play, and you're up against it for a while because they've got their backs up and something to hold on to."
