Paul Ince: Blackpool striker Adda Djeziri is hoping to impress the new boss

The Danish-born attacker has struggled to establish himself since arriving at Bloomfield Road last summer.

Djeziri, who stands at a towering 6ft 6in, did make four appearances during a loan spell at Scunthorpe in December, but he has told Sky Sports that the arrival of Ince could help his quest for first-team action.

"We have a fantastic set of players here at Blackpool and based on that I do believe that we should be competing for promotion this year," he said.

"The league is extremely competitive though and on their day anybody can beat anybody, so it is a case of taking it on game-by-game basis.

"There are a lot of good players, so competition for places was always going to be tough, but I learned a lot during my time at Scunthorpe.

"It was a good experience that helped me adjust to English football

"League One football is very fast and direct, so it was a great way to test myself at this level and see what I needed to work on to play my own game here."
