The 27-year-old defender, whose move from Blackpool has not yet been officially ratified, played in three different positions last season but Freedman says there is no doubt in his mind that Baptiste is a right-back.

"Once everything is sorted, I am signing him as a right-back, 100 per cent," he told The Bolton News.

"He can play in other positions but I feel that is the position where he would be of best value to the team.

"I want to bring him here because he has experience, he has played in the Premier League and he is a leader - someone who captained Blackpool last season."

All the mourinho apologists if you only care about the result why watch the game at all or any game for that matter. It made me laugh how they all turned up on twitter to criticise pep when mourinho couldn't even get this far.
