Matoukou is available on a free transfer after leaving Ukrainian club Dnipro and he is thought to be keen on a move to England.

The 31-year-old came to the fore at Belgian side Genk, spending seven seasons there before joining Dnipro in 2011.

Matoukou, who can play at centre-back or as a defensive midfielder, has enjoyed spells out on loan at Arsenal Kyiv and Volyn Lutsk during the last two seasons and he is looking to fix himself up with a new club on a permanent basis.

The likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Blackpool, Wolves and Leeds are all thought to be keeping tabs on Matoukou as they look to bolster their squads ahead of next season.
