The Trotters No.1 suffered the problem in the 3-2 win at Barnsley on March 2nd and did not feature in his side's subsequent home wins over Blackburn and Brighton, with Andy Lonergan deputising.

Reports suggested the 25-year-old Hungary international would spend a month on the sidelines but Bogdan expects to be back in action more quickly than expected.

"Fortunately it's not true, my rehabilitation is going according to plan," he told Nemzeti Sport.

"I had outside training on Monday and I'll join the team for training during the second half of the week. I'd like to play at the weekend."

Lonergan has kept two clean sheets in Bodgan's absence to stake his claim for the No.1 spot.

The Hungarian hopes he did enough before his injury to secure his place as first-choice keeper but says he is more focused on recovering his fitness.

He said: "Andy Lonergan is an experienced, good keeper but I did also well.

"We had three wins in a row after one victory and two draws, so we remain unbeaten in six games.

"I don't know if I'll be in the goal or not, my task is to be healthy for the game on Saturday."

heyremind me of Utd's treble winning side. Swashbuckling and risk prone. We ha Jaap Stam to paper over the cracks at the back though. Not sure they have their Jaap yet.

he solution is to not feel sorry for any of Jabba, Gold or Sullivan. They're all deeply unpleasant and all deserve each other. If only West Ham would sign Barton and Suarez then no one would ever need to despise any other club.
