A 2-0 victory over Wolves, with both goals in the first half from Kazenga LuaLua, secured Albion's fourth-placed finish - their highest for 30 years.

Poyet's side will head to Selhurst Park on Friday, 10 May, before hosting the decider at the Amex Stadium three days later.

"It is not a normal game," Poyet said. "How can you make this into a normal game of football?

"I will be trying my best to think only about football. What it comes down to is two games. We'll have a great go."

Poyet's side finished the season on a nine-game unbeaten run and with the best defensive record in the Championship.

He added: "In the context of the play-offs that is key. We are a difficult side to beat. We are certainly one of the teams in the best form having gone nine games unbeaten.

"It was a perfect game for us because we kept a clean sheet and have conceded the least goals in the division."

Poyet also revealed that matchwinner LuaLua was surprised to get a call-up after breaking a finger in training on Wednesday.

"Kazenga broke his finger and it looked painful but he said it wasn't," he said.

"It really was a game for him and to score so early really set up him. He was delighted when I told him he was playing and he responded perfectly."

ood grief. Someone guessed that the form English player at the moment might be in his national side with some other players? And that's espionage? Now if they discovered that Emile Heskey was going to be in the starting line up.... at right back.... THAT would be espionage. Give it a rest Roy.
