The South Coast club may well have a new manager in place for the fixture, with Gus Poyet currently suspended from his position.

In a continuation of the testing fixtures, Derby (h) and Birmingham City (a) then follow.

September may well be Brighton's toughest month of the season. They face three away trips to Reading, QPR and Ipswich, with the only home game coming against Bolton.

The festive period provides trips to Charlton away on Boxing Day and Blackpool three days later.

2014 starts with a South Coast derby at home to Bournemouth, while the return fixture is at the end of November.

In a busy Championship season, Brighton are scheduled to play seven games in March, including matches against Reading, QPR, Middlesbrough and Ipswich.

Their final game of the season is a trip to potential promotion rivals Nottingham Forest.
