The former Exeter man, who finished last season on loan at MK Dons, did not feature on Albion's list of 23 players handed squad numbers for the 2013/14 campaign.

Harley's appearance in the Seagulls' opening pre-season friendly against Whitehawk was his first for the club since August 25.

The 28-year-old made a name for himself at St James Park as he helped the Grecians to back-to-back promotions with 32 goals in 144 appearances.
