The Welshman played 10 times over two months with the npower League One club but, with City struggling for numbers defensively ahead of the weekend clash with Middlesbrough, manager Derek McInnes has chosen to summon Ribeiro back from Glanford Park.

McInnes told the Robins' official website: "Christian is back with us now and trained today (Wednesday). He could be in the squad for the Middlesbrough game."

Meanwhile, midfielder Sean Davis has returned to Bolton early after suffering a thigh strain.

Davis had been due to play the final game of his month-long stay in the south west against Boro on Saturday.

"We just don't feel we've got enough match time out of him and he's already back with Bolton," said McInnes.
