Neil Kilkenny: Bristol City improving, says midfielder

The 1-0 loss to Kilkenny's former club Leeds United on Saturday leaves the Ashton Gate outfit seven points from safety at the foot of the npower Championship, but the 27-year-old believes O'Driscoll has already had a positive impact during his first week in charge.

"I think there's an improvement already," he said. "The manager has been working hard on our defensive shape.

"We'll see over the next couple of weeks, he's only had three days with us.

"I don't think there was much in the game, apart from the goal, it's disappointing for us that we conceded it."

That appearance at Elland Road was only the 12th of the season for Kilkenny and the midfielder is relishing the chance to become a regular under the former Doncaster boss.

"I hadn't played much before he came in and I got 70 minutes," he said. "I want to get back playing again because I haven't played much this season.

"There are a lot of games to go, obviously we has a disappointing first half of the season but hopefully we can push on now."
