Ings, 21, has struck seven goals in his nine games so far this season, with Welsh international Vokes providing the perfect foil in a 4-4-2 formation that Dyche has no intention of dispensing with.

The Clarets boss revealed he and his staff have worked on Ings' movement since he arrived at Turf Moor, coaching that is starting to pay dividends for the in-form east Lancashire outfit.

"The matter of tactics nowadays is yardage," explained Dyche.

"People were saying last year we weren't playing a 4-4-2, we more or less were, it's just Ingsy is brighter, he's sharper, he's coming out of his number 10 spot and finding pockets in behind the defence as well as in front of them.

"That's the big work we've done with them since we've been here and his acceptance of that work and the enjoyment he's found within it is quite obvious, I think."

m a big Rafa fan, but when he substitutes Ronaldo after 60 minutes of his first game, which Real draw 1-1, I don't see the Real fans being patient. He'll be gone before October is out.
