The Clarets have sealed their return to the top-flight, finishing in second place in the Championship, and have already started planning for the next campaign.

David Edgar, Brian Stock, Keith Treacy and Nick Liversedge have all been told they are free to leave at the end of their current contracts, which expire this summer.

Edgar, a versatile defender, made 114 appearances for the club after joining from Newcastle United in 2009, scoring four goals.

Midfielder Stock spent two-seasons at Turf Moor following a free transfer from Doncaster Rovers and racked up 42 appearances.

Wide man Treacy joined Burnley in the summer of 2011 from Lancashire neighbours Preston North End, scoring five times in 75 appearances.

A club statement read: "Burnley football club would like to place on record our thanks to the quartet for their efforts and contributions to the club, and wish them every success in their future careers."
