Heaton joined the Clarets last summer on a free transfer after he turned down a new deal with Bristol City.

The 28-year-old enjoyed an excellent campaign for Sean Dyche's side, playing a key role as they sealed promotion to the Premier League.

Now with just 12 months left on his current deal, Burnley are looking to reward Heaton with fresh terms.

Burnley are also aware that rival clubs, including Heaton's former club Cardiff, are keeping a close eye on his situation at Turf Moor.
