Robins: Upbeat despite defeat

Robins: Upbeat despite defeat

Robins, only in the Sky Blues hotseat a week, is in the early stages of putting his stamp on his side and watched as they conceded five second-half goals at the Emirates to fall to a fifth successive defeat.

"I think for us it is easy to be hypercritical but it is difficult to be that when you are playing one of the best teams in Europe - regardless of the players he has put on the field, they are quality players," Robins said.

"We have to try and pass the ball and create chances and get out, so you have a dilemma. You either go and shut shop up and get people behind the ball, which is something we could have done - I wanted us to pass the ball and for me it was more important to try and get them to pass the ball in an atmosphere.

"I wanted to let them see for themselves that they can do it and they did that.

"It is disappointing to lose the six goals, there is a danger that you look at it and think that is acceptable, that isn't acceptable but it is building it up."
