The Bluebirds sealed promotion with a goalless draw at home to Charlton to end their 51-year absence from the top flight.
Bellamy, who rejoined his hometown club last summer from Liverpool, admitted it was an "immense feeling" to win promotion with his boyhood team and hopes they can finish the job off by winning the Championship title.
"It's so nice to be able to go share this with the people I love," Bellamy told Sky Sports. "It is just an immense feeling.
"We wanted to try and get the game won and get it over with but credit to Charlton who are also fighting for something.
"It's nice to get over the finishing line.
"We deserve to go up there is no two ways about it.
"Let's just enjoy tonight and see if we can finish it off by being champions."
