Neil Lennon: Rangers not on Celtic's radar

The Celtic manager admitted he was surprised to see his club's name brought up last week by Rangers chief executive Charles Green.

Green was furious his side were excluded from talks on restructuring the game north of the border and threatened to seek an exit strategy from the third division.

Green claimed season ticket sales at Celtic Park would be hit if fans knew there were no Glasgow derbies to look forward to for a second successive campaign.

But speaking from the club's mid-winter training camp in Marbella, Lennon insisted Green's comments were of no concern to him.

"We seem to be getting drawn into this, but I will just take it as a back-handed compliment as they are looking up at us," said the Northern Irishman.

"He's entitled to his opinion, but they keep bringing us into their problems. At the end of the day, they have their issues and we have ours.

"We have a really important second half of the season to look forward to... and I can't dwell on what is going on in the third division.

"We are six months down the line from Rangers playing in the third division and six months down the line I am still answering questions about them.

"So, from here on in, I am not going to answer any more questions on Rangers because they are not on our radar."
