Stokes came off the bench to net a dramatic extra-time winner for the Hoops in their semi-final with Dundee United at Hampden Park on Sunday as they edged a 4-3 triumph to reach the decider.

The frontman is waiting to see if Celtic will choose to trigger the option in his contract to keep him at the Scottish Premier League club for another year.

The 24-year-old Republic of Ireland international, who has scored five goals in 17 appearances this season, has not always seen eye-to-eye with manager Neil Lennon.

Lennon hinted the striker could see his Celtic stay extended after Sunday's win but Stokes does not expect his exploits in that game to have much bearing on his situation.

He told the Daily Record: "I'm not worried about that.

"I don't think one game is going to decide a contract offer. It might not do me any harm - but we'll see what happens."

Stokes says Celtic have their sights firmly set on an SPL and cup Double, with title success within their reach if they can overcome Inverness on Sunday.

He added: "The Double is the plan.

"We want to try to get over the line as soon as possible. Inverness will be tough but we're confident we can get the win. And a Double would be massive."
