Yamada is currently plying his trade with Jubilo Iwata, but is thought to be available on a free transfer in the New Year.

Lennon is keen to bolster his squad in January and is hoping to cast an eye over Yamada before making a decision whether to sign the attacking midfielder.

"We're looking to bring him over to take a look at him," said Lennon.

"John Park has watched him a couple of times and we've seen some footage.

"However, it's always good to see him up against the rest of the players and how he copes with it.

"He can play left side or off the striker. He looks okay but we'll not have a real idea until we've seen him over here.

"I don't think there would be any money involved - he's a free."

ou spend £200 million in one year and you say 3 years to win the title, I don't think the Man U board signed you to win the title in 3 years after shelling out that sort of cash. Spending that sort of money you should be challenging for the title in this season, not getting an early excuse in to try appeasing the fans and board.
