The Hoops have yet to lose a game since the inception of the Scottish Premiership, with Neil Lennon's men last beaten in the league at Motherwell on 28 April.

Stokes is hopeful Sunday's trip to Inverness will see Celtic stretch their run to 21 games without defeat, a statistic which has been overlooked because of the team's disappointing Champions League campaign.

Inverness Caley are one of only four teams to avoid defeat to Celtic in the league during this period, with Ross County, Hibernian and Dundee United also sharing the points with Lennon's men.

"It is massive. It is something we pride ourselves in," Stokes said.

"We have had a great start to the season, the consistency has been tremendous and we want to maintain that.

"We are taking it game by game and we just want to keep it up, winning games is what it is all about.

"It is demanded at this club and we will keep striving towards that.

"Obviously this year has been a bit disappointing, with Europe, but we want to finish this season on a high and win trophies. At the end of the day, that is what it's all about."

ell that really inspires me with confidence. No point in training, deciding on a coherent formation, or playing players in their best positions, let's just hope we get lucky.

alcao really needs to shine now. Apparently according to the stats, he scores more when played up front alone. I wonder if Van Gaal will actually apply a formation to get the best out of him though.
