The title and relegation battles may be settled, but it is all still to play for in the fight to secure a top-four finish. Arsenal are favourites to record a victory at Newcastle which will see them secure Champions League football next season, while Tottenham are odds-on to keep up the pressure by beating Sunderland.

Kris Commons claims Efe Ambrose has to take responsibility for his performance against Juventus and says "certain individuals" let Celtic down.
m starting to think Roman may never actually be happy at the top level. If he wants all conquering fancy football I wonder if he'd be better off buying a lower division side then paying outlandish salaries to attract high caliber players too good for the division.
afa has to be favourite for the Everton job now, surely :) He'll realise his ambition to live and work on Merseyside again, get the best out of whoever plays for them, maybe win some cups and be thoroughly loathed by the toffee fans. What's not to like? Go ead, Ken, gimajob!
hat is arguably the least inspiring England I have ever seen. There is not a single name in that list that makes me think I might actually want to watch this team. Not a one.

Gab, I agree that Lennon put Ambrose in a very difficult position. Of course he was going to say that he's feeling good but you're right, he was probably out on the lash celebrating on Sunday night. Anyway, scapegoats are easy but I do feel as though we pressed them well and we we very unlucky with some calls. Ambrose should have scored himself at the right end which would have made it 1-1 and altered the tie. But, if your Aunty had testicles and all that. As for the domestic issue, you're also correct in criticising Lennon for some of the Cup results in the last 3 seasons - They've been appalling and he's nowhere near the level of O'Neill but it is his first managerial job so let's cut him a little bit of slack.

damoceltic - Do you think the team showed a lot of talent and guile? Maybe if you have Caledonian Thistle chasing you in the league, but it was nowhere good enough for a team like Juventus. The team have had an easy league season to breeze through, with no Rangers to worry about, so should have been up to putting in a better performance than that. And Lennon is an average manager, in my opinion, nowhere near O Neill, and never will be, and not even up to Strachan. He's lost lots of matches that those managers would never have lost. St Mirren in the recent semi final? He's let inferior Rangers teams win titles and cups when he should have been picking them up. The player has just picked up a winner's medal at a major tournament, what the hell did Lennon think he was going to say when asked how he felt? He probably still had alcohol in his system!!

Little talent and guile? Ha ha ha, some of the comments on this site from unintelligent users are classic.

Thanks gooneyboy for a very well written comment, what did Commons think Ambrose would say when his manager asked him about feeling ready for the match?! Celtics lost because their only game plan was score from set pieces, they are a team with a lot of aggression and team spirit but little talent and guile!

Erm...I do believe its a team effort. I guess Commons thought he had a great game because all 100 hundred of his shots resulted in extremely comfortable saves straight down the middle of the keeper.
