Zlatan Ibrahimovic: Handed an extension to his ban

UEFA confirmed it extended the automatic one-match suspension for Ibrahimovic's challenge on Valencia midfielder Andres Guardado in added time of their last-16 first-leg match earlier this month.

The Swede was shown a straight red card in the closing stages in Spain and was already certain to miss the return leg in Paris on March 6.

UEFA's additional punishment applies to the next European club competition for which Ibrahimovic is eligible.
