The game was scheduled to take place at CSKA's Arena Khimki stadium but the club have elected to switch the venue for the match due to the poor state of the playing surface.

The match will now take place at the Petrovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg some 400 miles away from the Russian capital.

A statement on the club's website, pfc-cska.com, read: "Due to the poor quality of the pitch at Arena Khimki, the UEFA Champions League matchday two game PFC CSKA v Viktoria (Plzen) will be played at the Petrovsky Stadium in Saint Petersburg (Petrovsky Island, 2-G).

Manchester City are due to visit the Russian capital to play CSKA on October 23 but there is no suggestion that game might also have to be moved.

ven if United were to sign CR7 & Messi to play upfront, the fact remains Fletcher and Cleverly are playing in midfield. That's where the problem is. Fletcher is too slow with an awful pass, while Cleverly is simply rubbish
