Delfouneso: Hoping for more

The 21-year-old joined the Foxes on a one-month loan in January and his deal expires after Thursday's Championship game against local rivals Derby County.

Delfouneso has been restricted to just four substitute appearances during his time at the King Power Stadium due to the form of Jermaine Beckford and David Nugent.

Foxes assistant manager Craig Shakespeare accepts that Delfouneso may be disappointed by the lack of playing time during his loan spell.

However, Shakespeare confirmed Leicester will speak to Villa regarding the possibility of keeping the youngster at the club for a little longer.

"He might be disappointed with the game-time he has got, and Villa might too, but he has to realise the front two of Jermaine Beckford and David Nugent have been doing very well and we are reluctant to change it," said Shakespeare in the Leicester Mercury.

"We will speak to Villa in the next few days to see where they want to go with it."
