Neil Danns: Suprised at City's position

The 29-year-old Leicester midfielder completed a loan move on Wednesday and is determined to help the Robins, winless since September 18, during his five-game stay.

"Once I found out I was coming here, I went on to the website to find out about the squad," he said. "With some of the quality on show, I'm surprised at the position the team is in but hopefully I can help do something about that.

"The main goal during the loan is to get some game time, but also to help the team. I'll give my all while I am here."

Danns, who has experienced of a Championship relegation battle with Crystal Palace, trained with his new team-mates for the first time on Thursday and admits reunions with a few familar faces made the sudden move much easier.

"I've played with a number of the squad, like (Neil) Kilkenny and Dean (Gerken), and I know Jon Stead and Steven Davies really well," he said. "I was actually at a concert on Tuesday when I got the call, and I had to leave early to go and grab my boots and drive down to Bristol. It's nice to see a few friendly faces when you arrive at a new club and that should help me settle in."
